Rural Activities Area
The school’s farm has developed over the last 30 years and now provides a wide range of opportunities for students within school.
All students have one session a week in the RAA. These sessions involve working with many different kinds of animals as well as in the school garden.
The RAA supports work in other subjects such as mathematics, literacy and science, but also runs a programme of study in its own right and is a centre for City & Guilds land-based vocational courses.
Animals that are kept in the RAA include two ponies, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, other poultry and various small pets.
Wellington boots and other appropriate clothing is provided by the school for students when working in the RAA.
